Job Description
We’re seeking a talented and detail-oriented UX Designer who blends user-centered design thinking with exceptional visual design craftsmanship. This is a hands-on role for someone who can take an idea from discovery to iteration to polished design, while also helping bridge the gap between design and delivery by working closely with product and engineering teams.
You’ll contribute across the full design lifecycle—from research and wireframes to high-fidelity designs and handoff- while supporting product operations by writing clear specs and translating them into actionable tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive, engaging experiences
- Craft user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs that capture the needs of the user
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and QA
- Write clear design specs and user stories to support implementation and testing
- Present and communicate design rationale effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ensure accessibility and responsiveness across devices and platforms
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design at scale
- Strong portfolio showcasing user experience process, design systems thinking, and polished visual design work
- Mastery of Figma and FigJam; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop and Illustrator)
- Understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and interaction design principles
- Comfortable collaborating with engineers and understanding the basics of how your designs will be implemented
Bonus Points
- Contributed to or managed design systems to ensure consistency and scalability across products
- Skilled at translating design specifications into structured, actionable tickets using tools like GitHub Issues, Jira, Asana, or Azure DevOps
- Experience designing user experiences for AI-powered products, including conversational interfaces, embodied AI agents (e.g., avatars or assistants), and adaptive systems
- Background in EdTech, SaaS, or another complex product environment
- Proven experience designing at a fast-paced startup, with products successfully launched to a global user base
